33^rd Annual Meeting

of the South Atlantic Conference

The South Atlantic Conference, comprised of the states of South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Alabama, Georgia, Florida and North Carolina, will be holding their 33^rd annual conference at the Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel, 1325 Virginia Ave. in Atlanta, Georgia on January 23-25, 2010. The goal of the conference is to provide the latest information to its members concerning our craft through knowledgeable speakers and informative seminars. The conference provides time for members to hear and be heard by the leaders of the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association and Postal Service managers.

Registration begins at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 23, 2010 and will continue throughout the Conference. Also, on Saturday afternoon the Atlanta Postal Credit Union will be holding its annual meeting. The APCU invites everyone to attend this meeting. Beginning at 5:00 pm on Saturday two seminars will be held concerning specific topics yet to be determined.

The Sunday program begins with the morning worship service followed by remarks from our National Officers. On Sunday afternoon, with no postal management present, we will be having a question and answer session with questions being taken from the floor.

Monday we will be hearing from USPS managers from each of the three Areas that are a part of SAC. Following their remarks will be a question and answer session from written questions that have been submitted by members. A brief swearing in ceremony will then be held for all the SAC Officers. The Conference will conclude no later than noon.

We encourage you to make your reservations as early as possible and tell them you are with the South Atlantic Conference. Hope to see you at the Crowne Plaza in Atlanta.
